                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 205 SPEARS
                   AVENUE AND 110 MANNING STREET, BEING ON THE
                   NORTHWEST LINE OF SPEARS AVENUE AT MANNING
                   STREET, FROM R-2 RESIDENTIAL ZONE AND C-2
                   CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL ZONE TO R-4 SPECIAL
                   ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 205 Spears Avenue, and
                110 Manning Street, being on the northwest line of
                Spears Avenue at Manning Street.  Lots 9-17, block
                C, and the property identified as the "School Lot",
                Cherokee Land Company's Subdivision, North
                Chattanooga, as shown by plat of record in plat
                book 12, page 30, ROHC, together with an alleyway
                and the north 12.5 feet of an unnamed 25 foot wide
                street right-of-way, both having been abandoned by
                City of Chattanooga Ordinance No. 7179; being the
                properties described in deed book 4408, page 239,
                ROHC, deed book 2327, page 34, ROHC, and deed book
                2589, page 197, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 135F-E-1, 2, and
                5.
               
               
         from R-2 Residential Zone and C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone 
to
         R-4 Special Zone.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED,  That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
